Royal Mail freelance project.
I was chosen from my class to be part of a live project for the Royal Mail creating a postcard character known as Percy the postcard. It was and is part or a scheme to incourage younger children to send postcards to their friends and family rather then text messages and was to work along side the new ways of communication in todays world. It is now used in 30 thousand schools in the UK.

D&AD
Trip to London – D&AD
On Friday 1st July, as part of a compulsory college trip we visited London, pacifically the area of Brick Lane in Spitalfields. We headed to this location to visit the D&AD and the ‘New Blood’ exhibition that hosted stalls from universities up and down the country all displaying graphic design techniques. Some of the work really interested me, caught my eye and inspired me but other aspects of work didn’t interest me at all.
After staying at the D&AD for around an hour we left and was free to do as we please for the next few hours, exploring Brick Lane and its surrounding area. During this time along with a few of my friends we visited an art gallery, Rough Trade, vintage shops, selling old school clothing and spitalfields market, where we ate some of the best food going.
Each place had many different unique aspects about them and were very interesting places to visit. On our travels we also saw some very unique and pretty amazing graffiti by many different artists from around the area and the world, one being Space Invader.
